From May 22nd to 25th, 2019, the 30th China Glass Exhibition, which paid close attention by the experts in the glass industry, was held as scheduled at the China International Exhibition Center (New Hall) in Beijing.

It is the most commercially valuable exhibition, technical exchange and economic and trade negotiation platform in China's glass industry.

The exhibition covers glass applications, process glass, glass processing equipment, raw materials, and refractory materials.
With further supply structure reform in 2018, China's glass industry develops in a stable way, the industrial structure is more optimized, and profits are improved. The total production capacity of China's flat glass is in a continuous expansion.
The annual sales revenue and total profits are 76 billion yuan and 11.6 billion yuan, respectively increases by 7.2% and 29.1%. The flat glass industry has an annual output of 7.28 million tons of household glass products. Although the growth rate has decreased in recent years, the capacity utilization rate is still low.
Due to the low threshold of the glass industry, it will attract a large influx of capital when the industry is in the boom cycle, which will lead to a rapid increase in glass production capacity. Since 2016, because of supply-side reforming and industry de-capacity, coupled with the gradual tightening of environmental protection policies, the expansion rate of capacity in the glass industry has decreased. However, glass production capacity has rebounded as market demand gradually recovery.
The 20th China Glass Exhibition held in Shanghai in 2018 covers an area of more than 80,000 square meters. 865 (253 foreign companies) from 29 countries participated in the exhibition, with more than 33,515 professional visitors from 72 countries (4,544 foreigners) came to visit, purchase, negotiate trade, and held 9 technical seminars in the same period.
Many Chinese and foreign media and websites gave detailed reports on them! The current macro-operational environment of the glass industry presents a complex situation in which many factors are intertwined.
On the one hand, as the real estate market is in the adjustment period and the growth rate of fixed-asset investment declines, the demand for the glass market is weakening. On the other hand, the government has introduced a series of steady “slightly irritating” measures to increase the number of affordable housing.
The support of affordable housing, shantytown renovation, and new urbanization planning will continue to release new market needs, which will stimulate the endogenous power and vitality of the glass market. Energy-saving emission reduction technologies and energy-saving glass products that meet industrial upgrading and structural adjustment will be strongly supported and promoted by the policy!
In terms of the number of exhibitors, exhibition area, internationalization, and informatization, it has exceeded the previous scale, so it is providing a platform for the transformation and upgrading of China's glass industry and structural adjustment, providing good business opportunities for glass manufacturers at home and abroad.
